Technical Review - SanDisk Plus SSD (120GB)

The manufacturer claims a maximum sequential read of 520 MB/s and write of 180 MB/s, which corresponds to a 32k (read) and 1024k (write) block size. It seems to be an odd coincidence that the drive's performance reduces right as it meets the advertised specifications; it's likely firmware optimization.

The maximum throughput obtained was approximately 550 MB/s (read) and 200 MB/s (write). The write speed leaves a bit to be desired, but it's still significantly better than any USB 3.0 flash drive on the market. Overall, it's a decent purchase for ~$35 USD (with free shipping).
